Jonathan “Jonny D.” Defibaugh is the founder of MOVID Studios in Parkersburg, West Virginia. His career brings together more than 25 years in professional media with hands-on experience in commercial property redevelopment and operations. Across both fields, his work involves planning projects, coordinating people and resources, and carrying ideas through to delivery.

Jonny spent 11 years in local television before founding MOVID in 2011. Through the studio, he produces commercial video, photography, cinematography and documentary work for businesses, healthcare organizations, industrial companies and community initiatives. His involvement often spans the full production process, from shaping the message and planning the shoot to filming, editing and final delivery. That range includes interviews, campaigns, product demonstrations and stories rooted in the people and places of the Mid-Ohio Valley.

Since 2016, Jonny has also helped lead the redevelopment and operation of St. Joseph Landing, a roughly 800,000-square-foot former hospital campus spanning seven buildings. His responsibilities include leasing, budgets, vendor contracts, infrastructure and capital-project coordination. The role combines long-term redevelopment planning with the daily demands of running a complex commercial property, working with tenants, contractors and community partners to support its continued use.

Alongside his production and property work, Jonny develops original creative projects, including the fiction universe FRAYALITY and the tabletop roleplaying system Rising Dawn. These projects bring together writing, worldbuilding, visual design, game development and digital publishing. They extend his creative work beyond client production into stories and experiences of his own.
